My grandfather, father, brother and husband were, and are farmers. My husband and I farmed for over 30 years in Warren County, Ohio, until the golf course and houses sprung up on our rental land. My brother is the only one left tilling the ground in Fayette County, Ohio. My heart is in farming. I know the grief, joy, etc., that all farmers go through. I know the smell of the earth being plowed, the wonder of a newborn calf, the heartbreak of failed crops. I understand the joys and frustrations of farming. And....most of all I understand farmers. You hate paperwork and deadlines. When you sign with me, I become your second mom or sister. I make sure you have everything it takes to insure your crop, so that in a loss situation you are covered. I have seen farms saved because of crop insurance. It won't make you a profit, it wasn't designed to do so. But, it will pay the rent and the bills.
